Over 30 Chinese companies are exhibiting at this year’s agriculture show

Lusaka, Zambia – Over 30 companies from the People’s Republic of China are participating in this year’s Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Show, which officially opened on July 31 in Lusaka.

The exhibitors, who are in the country to mark 60 years of economic partnership between Zambia and China, are showcasing a diverse range of products and services from various sectors, including agriculture, mining, construction, energy, and engineering.

The companies, which are part of the Zambia Chinese Association’s celebration of six decades of collaboration, are presenting cutting-edge solutions and innovations designed to foster further economic development in Zambia.

Notable exhibitors include Jiang Xi Magnificent Building Construction, Ji’an Shanyayansun Biotechnology, Pingxiang Shunpeng New Materials, and Jiangxi Green Industry Group, among others.

Speaking at the event, Zhang Jian, President of the Zambia Chinese Association, stated that the goal of bringing these companies to the show is to encourage increased investment in Zambia’s key sectors.

“The Chinese people remain committed to the development of Zambia. This show provides a unique platform for our companies to network with Zambian entrepreneurs, explore new business opportunities, and contribute to the country’s growth,” Zhang said.

The exhibition comes at a time of growing economic cooperation between Zambia and China, with Chinese investment playing a crucial role in Zambia’s infrastructure, industrial, and agricultural sectors. The event has attracted significant attention, with many visitors flocking to the Chinese Association’s stand to explore the various products and services on display.

This year’s Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Show is being held under the theme “Creating a Competitive Future,” highlighting the importance of innovation and competitiveness in driving Zambia’s economic growth. The show will run until August 5 and is expected to bring together thousands of companies, both local and international, providing a platform for dialogue and business development.

The event underscores the deepening economic ties between Zambia and China, which continue to benefit both countries in sectors ranging from infrastructure to agriculture and beyond.
