Lands and Natural Resources Minister Elijah Muchima has clarified that the ministry has only removed the digital clearance process for primary land transactions which involves the application of land titles as it was encouraging unethical conduct among officers.
And Dr. Muchima says the digital clearance will only be applicable to secondary property transactions which include buying of property from an individual or company.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Dr Muchima said the digital clearance has helped the ministry to capture key information such as phone numbers, email address which were not mandatory in the old land administration system.
