Agricultural and Commercial Cooperatives Show Society of Zambia Limited has announced that Burundian President General Evaristo Ndaishimiye will be the guest of honor at this year’s 96th Agricultural and Commercial Show.
Addressing the media today, ACSZ President Dr. Bernard Moonga said President General Ndayishimiye will be accompanied by President Hakainde Hichilema who is the Agricultural and Commercial Cooperatives Show Society of Zambia Limited Patron.
He said the Agricultural and Commercial Show will take place from 31st July to 5th August, 2024 under the theme “Creating a Competitive Future “and 1000 exhibitors both local and international are expected to participate.
“So far exihitors from Ghana, Japan, China, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria have already confirmed participating this year’s 96th Agricultural and Commercial Show for exhibition”, Dr. Moonga said.
Dr. Moonga said despite the devastating effects of climate change the show society is determined to create a platform where innovations shall be showcased and appreciate the efforts made by the farmers to feed the country and share their experiences.
“In response to climate we have reserved a green pavilion where those who are operating in renewable energy space will be exhibiting their innovations. He further said the Show Society has helped in the creation of jobs every year among the youth because of various activities taking place prior to the the show.
And at the same event, Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank (ZICB) has handed a cheque amounting to K350,000 as the main sponsor of this year’s 96th Agriculture and commercial show.
