African Parks Network has announced an annual investment of $10 million in Kafue National Park, aimed at developing critical infrastructure to support the growth of tourism in the area.
APN Country Director James Milanzi says this investment is in line with the government’s call for economic diversification, with tourism identified as a key sector to drive growth.
He says the investment will focus on enhancing the park’s infrastructure, creating a conducive environment for tourists and paving way for the translocation of between 40 and 60 rhinos.
Mr. Milanzi further emphasized the importance of promoting and growing local tourism, highlighting the need to develop the sector in a sustainable and responsible manner.
