In a bid to address the inefficiency and lack of transparency in traditional waste management systems Ebusaka dubbed ”Inspiring Clean Cities” has today launched an innovation online App to facilitate sustainable waste management practices, fostering cleaner, greener and a more resilient environment.
Speaking during the launch,Ebusaka Founder and Team Lead Muyunda Kaonga says through its innovative digital platform, Ebusaka aims to streamline waste collection processes , enhance operational efficiency and promote sustainability at every level.
And Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority Acting Director General Banji Nyundo said Ebusaka was among the top 60 innovators that enrolled on the 2023 cycle of the innovation programme and the project emerged as the first prize winner under the cycle following a competitive selection process .
Meanwhile Ministry of Technology and Science Representative Larry Mweetwa said government’s imitative such as the technology business development fund demonstrates its commitment to backing innovative ventures such as Ebusaka and lay the groundwork for significant advancements in waste management and beyond.
