World Federation of Hemophilia says the current statistics in Zambia indicate that less than 300 people have been diagnosed with Hemophilia in the county.

Speaking at a press briefing ahead of the World Hemophilia Day, WFH Chairperson Charity Pikiti says limited access  to health care as well as diagnostic facilities are also a challenge that patients with hemophilia face.

Ms Pikiti says these challenges have continued to contribute to a lot of people with the condition to suffer in silence.

She has since appealed to government to ensure drugs for hemophilia patients are easily accessed because the medication is expensive and many patients cannot afford the medication.
