Eden University Pens MoU with Ex- Kawambwa Boys Technical Secondary School Association

Eden University and Kawambwa Boys Technical Secondary School have signed a memorandum of understanding with ex-Kawambwa boys technical secondary school association aimed at awarding scholarship to deserving students of Kawambwa boys secondary school.

University Vice Chancellor Dr. Avert Ng’andu says the collaboration is a product of the university’s engagements with schools in Luapula province and participation at the Umutomboko ceremony in July this year.

Dr. Ng’andu says the scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence, financial need, and leadership potential.

He said this partnership symbolizes joint commitment to increasing access to educational opportunities to deserving students of Kawambwa boys secondary school and fostering the development of the surrounding communities.

Dr. Ngandu disclosed that Eden University have provided for two (2) full scholarships to deserving grade 12 pupils from Kawambwa boys secondary school.

“we are not only creating opportunities for academic success but also building a legacy that keeps alive the spirit of those young souls whose dreams were unfortunately cut shory, by awarding the two full scholarships, we aim to inspire and empower the next generation to succeed and contribute to our nations’ development.” Dr. Ng’andu said.

He said the partnership will go beyond scholarships and will provide the necessary tools to track the performance of top-performing pupils, ensuring they continue to excel academically and develop holistically.

“This initiative aligns with our vision of nurturing young minds to become leaders not only within their communities but across the nation and beyond.” Dr. Ng’andwe said.

And Ex-Kawambwa boys technical secondary school association president Moffat Nsofwa says this support for education sends a message of hope to the pupils of Kawambwa boys.

He said the MoU its a sign of a strong friendship based on a shared goal to improve education and help our young brothers at Kawambwa boys to reach their full potential.

“these scholarships will not only ease their financial burden but will also inspire our boys to dream bigger and work towards building a better future for themselves and their communities”, said Mr. Nsofwa.
