Zambians Encouraged To Invest In Phones With Longer Battery Life Amidst The Energy Challenges

By shout zambia Jul25,2024

Lusaka lawyer Dickson Jere has advised Zambians to invest in mobile phones with long lasting battery power in the wake of the energy deficit the country is facing.

Mr. Jere says with the extended loadshedding which ZESCO is implementing across the country, a phone with a longer battery life will help in keeping people online and be able to use their mobile phones when there is no electricity.

Speaking last night in Lusaka at the launch of Real Me mobile phones, Mr. Jere said the coming of the C63 and Note 50 mobile phones with a longer battery life will help communities stay connected even when they are loadshedded.

Mr. Jere said the C63, which can stay for over an hour with power just after being charged for 1 minute, is ideal for the lower bracket of the economy in Zambia.

And Real Me Sub Saharan Africa Regional Manager Tyrion Lee said his firm is committed to making the two phones accessible to Zambians to enjoy longer battery life.

Mr. Lee said his company is working with Zambian firms to roll out the phones on the domestic market.

Trident Marketing, a local company, launched the two phones at an event attended by celebrities, artists, business executives and Zambians from all walks of life.

Nez Long, Dizmo, Shenky, Xaven and Neo Slayer performed at the launch and Mampi came in as a special feature.
